How to reach Amsterdam?
The international airport of The Netherlands, Schiphol Airport, is just a short train ride from the city of Amsterdam (Central Station).
The central station of Amsterdam is the end point of several international trains. Railway companies, such as NS Hispeed, Thalys, DB Bahn, SNCF and Eurostar, execute rides from various main European cities to the central station of Amsterdam.
How to reach the Royal Tropical Institute?

There are various trams in the direction of the Royal Tropical Institute from any spot in Amsterdam, for example:
From Amsterdam Central Station: tram 9
From Amsterdam Muiderpoort Station: tram 3 or 7
From Dam square: tram 9 or 14
From Leidseplein: tram 7 or 10

Leave the tram at the stop named either “Alexanderplein” or “Linnaeusstraat/Wijttenbachstraat” (dependent on your tram line)
The best way to get around Amsterdam is by bike. There are bike rental spots all over the city.
Leave the ring road A10 via the exit Watergraafsmeer/ Diemen (S113): follow the Middenweg (direction Centrum/ Watergraafsmeer), which turns into the Linnaeusstraat. The Royal Tropical Institute is at the corner of the Linnaeusstraat and the Mauritskade. There are paid parking facilities in the vicinity.
